Plumbing estimates are built one pipe size at a time. We take off domestic water, sanitary, vent, storm and gas piping by material and size, with fittings, hangers, insulation and every fixture on the schedule.
Underground and above-ground work are separated, and labor is priced with plumbing labor units so you can compare against your crew's productivity.

Do you separate underground and above-ground piping?
Yes. Underground, in-slab and above-ground quantities are listed separately because they're installed and often bid differently.
Do you include fittings?
Yes. Fittings are counted from the drawings or applied by ratio where the layout is diagrammatic.
