HVAC and mechanical estimating
HVAC estimating and mechanical takeoff: ductwork by size and gauge, fittings, diffusers, piping, equipment, controls and insulation, with labor units.
HVAC bids depend on duct weight, equipment and piping, and on reading the schedules carefully. We take off ductwork by size and gauge, count every fitting and air device, and price equipment from the mechanical schedules.
Hydronic and refrigerant piping, insulation, controls and testing and balancing are included, so the estimate covers the complete mechanical scope.

HVAC Estimating: common questions
Can't find your answer? Call (850) 343-4090 or email info@premiumestimatings.com.
Do you calculate duct weight?
Yes. Ductwork is taken off by size and converted to weight by gauge, which is how most sheet metal shops price.
Do you price equipment?
We price equipment from the schedules using current budget pricing, and recommend final manufacturer quotes for major units.
