Pavement sections are priced layer by layer, from subgrade preparation and base to surface course, so every part of the section is in the number.

Do you take off pavement sections layer by layer?
Yes. Base, binder and surface courses are measured separately and converted to tons or cubic yards.
Do you estimate landscaping?
Yes. Plants are counted from the planting schedule, and sod, seed and mulch are measured by area.
