Everything you need to know
Can't find your answer? Call (850) 343-4090 or email info@premiumestimatings.com.
What file formats do you accept?
PDF drawings are best. We also work from DWG/DXF files and from plan links on bid portals, Dropbox, Google Drive or OneDrive. Include specifications and addenda if you have them.
How do you charge?
Each project gets a fixed quote based on the scope and the size of the drawing set. We take 50% to start and the remaining 50% when we deliver the estimate.
Do you offer free sample estimates?
We don't do free test estimates, but new clients can order a first sample estimate at half price to check our quality before committing to larger work.
What does the estimate include?
Quantities with waste factors, unit material and labor costs, equipment where relevant, subtotals by CSI division, markups for overhead, profit, insurance and contingency if you want them, and a summary sheet with cost per square foot.
Where does your pricing come from?
Unit costs are built from current material pricing and labor rates for the project's location. If you prefer, we can price with your own labor rates, crew productivity or supplier quotes.
Which countries do you work in?
We work with contractors in the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom and Australia, using the units, currency and terminology of each market.
Can you work with my estimate template?
Yes. Send us your Excel template and we'll deliver the estimate in it, or use our standard CSI-based format.
Do you sign NDAs?
Yes. We sign an NDA on every project so your drawings and pricing stay confidential.
How do I send large plan sets?
Use the plan link field on our form to share a Dropbox, Google Drive or OneDrive folder, or email the link to info@premiumestimatings.com.
Do you design fire sprinkler or fire alarm systems?
No. We estimate fire protection and fire alarm scope from the drawings, but we don't design those systems or run hydraulic calculations.
Do you stamp drawings?
No. Drawings that require a seal must be stamped by an architect or engineer licensed in the project's jurisdiction. We can coordinate with yours.
