CMU walls
Load-bearing and partition walls are measured by block size and type, with openings deducted and corners, pilasters and bond beams counted separately.
CMU, brick veneer, stone and cast stone measured from your architectural and structural drawings, with grout, reinforcing and labor priced for your market.
Masonry estimates are won or lost in the details that are not drawn as block: grout in the cells, vertical and horizontal reinforcing, bond beams, control joints, ties, flashing and scaffolding. Our masonry estimating service measures every wall and prices all of it, so your number reflects the real cost of the wall.
We support masonry contractors and general contractors who self-perform masonry on schools, retail, warehouses, restaurants and multifamily podiums. Send the architectural and structural drawings and the Division 04 specifications, and we return an Excel estimate with block and brick counts, grout volumes, rebar weights and labor by wall type, plus marked-up plans.
Each wall type is broken out separately, so you can compare our quantities with your own and adjust productivity for height, scaffolding and access.
Load-bearing and partition walls are measured by block size and type, with openings deducted and corners, pilasters and bond beams counted separately.
Veneer is measured by area per elevation, with returns, soldier courses and accent bands listed so special shapes are priced correctly.
Grout volume follows the cell spacing in the structural notes. Rebar is converted to weight, and horizontal joint reinforcement is measured by course.
Ties, anchors, through-wall flashing, weeps, control and expansion joints and sealants are counted from details and specifications.
Masonry bond beam lintels and steel angle lintels are listed per opening, noting which trade furnishes steel.
Labor is priced by wall type and height, with scaffolding, forklifts, mixers and cold-weather protection shown as separate lines.
