Our structural steel estimating service takes off every member by size and length, converts it to tonnage, and adds connections, deck, joists and the miscellaneous items that appear only in details.
We support steel fabricators, erectors and general contractors pricing steel packages for warehouses, schools, offices, retail and multifamily podiums. Send the structural drawings and Division 05 specifications, and we return an Excel estimate by member type with weights, piece counts, deck areas and erection labor, plus marked-up plans.
Steel prices have moved sharply; AGC reported steel mill products up 22.5% from July 2025 to July 2026. We show material weight separately so you can apply a current mill or service-center price.

Connections
Connection weight is carried as a percentage or detailed from typical connection drawings, as the documents allow.
Joists and deck
Joists are counted by designation, and roof and floor deck is measured by area, gauge and profile, including closures and edge forms.
Miscellaneous metals
Lintels, embeds, bollards, ladders, rails and equipment frames are picked up from details and specifications that a member takeoff can miss.
Stairs and rails
Stairs are counted by flight with stringers, pans and landings; rails are measured by linear foot and type.
Erection
Erection is priced by piece count and tonnage with cranes, lifts and bolting shown separately.
